As creator and father of Pinocchio, the doll carver Gepetto has become an endearing Walt Disney character. Often worried about what the little wooden doll he created is up to, he remains firmly in control of the little adventurer. Gepetto is made of genuine mohair and was been created exclusively for the 1996 Walt disney World Teddy Bear and Doll Convention by the Steiff company in Giengen. With white hair wearing glasses and a leather apron, he holds Pinocchio in his hand. Pinocchio is lovingly created from wood and dressed in appropriate clothes made of cotton, all with great attention to detail. Gepetto was a limited edition piece of 1,500. This particular piece is number 1429 of 1,500. This fantastic pair comes with the collectible Disney pin made specifically for the 1996 Walt Disney World Teddy Bear & Doll Convention.
